....and we’re back with the third and final installment of tips to reduce stress
1) Engage in something that makes you laugh!
Laughter relaxes muscles & relieves tension. plus it’s hard to feel stressed when you’re laughing.
2) Spend time with people you love.
Human interaction is essential to every aspect of our health. Research shows that having a strong network of support or strong community bonds fosters both emotional and physical health and is an important component of adult life.
3) Hug someone!
Physical touch releases oxytocin and lowers cortisol. Oxytocin aka the "feel good hormone" is a hormone that has the power to regulate our emotional responses
Plain & simple. When having sex, the body releases endorphins and oxytocin and the body is naturally relaxed.
5) Practice mindfulness.
Mindfulness is a simple practice that helps you to be aware of everything happening in & around you. It has been known to decrease anxiety by drawing you into the present and helping you to focus on the here & now.
